Final Reflection

What sticks out to you as the most formative experience? The experience that you'll remember years later? What was your most joyous experience? What experience are you most proud of yourself for accomplishing?
  • The good, the bad, & the in between: I remember at the beginning of the semester I was quite nervous for what was ahead. I wasn't really sure what to expect which made me a little more weary than normal. As the class progressed however, I became more confident with each post, and started to enjoy writing them and looking back at what my peers had to say. There were for sure times where it was noon thirty and I completely forgot to do our assignments, which is never fun, but it happens. Learning how to properly manage my time is something I've gained from taking this class.

At the beginning of the semester, I mentioned that I wanted each of you to develop an entrepreneurial mindset. Now, at the end, do you see yourself as an entrepreneur? Do you think you have moved closer to developing an entrepreneurial mindset?
  • I think the way I look at problems now is with much more optimism that there could be a better way, whereas before I would become deflated whenever I ran into an issue I thought was unsolvable. I wouldn't go as far to call myself a full blown entrepreneur, but I will say I feel much more confident in presenting my ideas to others.

What is the one recommendation you would make to the students who are going to journey down this path in the future? What would you recommend they do to perform best in this course? What would you recommend they do to foster that mindset?
  • I would say to properly manage your time, always set goals for yourself, and have a good time with it. It could be quite dreadful if it was a negative experience, but I think with the right attitude and outlook it was very enjoyable. Come up with something you could imagine yourself using and bragging about to all your friends, that was the way i made it enjoyable for myself, it also makes the assignments far better if you know and are passionate about what you're talking about.
  • I can't stress this enough, time management is key!

  1. Hey Nicole, great job on the reflection and final assignment! I agree that time management is likely the key ingredient to this class. For me, I found it helpful to try and complete as many assignments as I can ahead of time. Another thing I did was to set a weekly alarm for Mondays to make sure that I stayed on top of the peer reviews that can be difficult to remember to complete.

  2. Hi Nicole, well done on your final reflection. Time management is crucial - similarly to what I commented on the other post, there are so many assignments throughout the week that are needed attention to. It is imperative to manage your time to ensure that everything was done on time. Without focusing on time management I definitely wouldn't of coped in the course

  3. Hey Nicole,
That’s good that you see problems basically as opportunities now. To me that does seem like an entrepreneurial mindset and that’s supposed to be all of our goals. I also agree with you that time management is crucial to the success to this class. I remember thinking I could do everything on Friday morning right before 12pm but then I saw how much work was required for the assignment and stopped that routine as soon as possible. Looking ahead and working on assignments little bits of a time throughout the week was way more beneficial and bearable and lead to my success in this course

  4. Hey Nicole! I have loved following your journey this semester. I have watched you transform and become more passionate about your business. I am so happy to hear that you now have a more positive mindset when you approach obstacles. There is always going to be obstacles in life and if you face them with a negative attitude that is one miserable life! This course has also helped me approach every task with a positive mindset and it has been a life changer! Good luck and kick butt!

  5. Hey Nicole, I think we all have forgot about an assignment after noon at least once. Throughout this course I have found your posts to be filled with personality and have gradually seen your assignments go from formal to informal/peer friendly. I think your tip on time management is a key takeaway for incoming students, it is the most important thing about this class.

  6. Hey Nicole, great final read! So many great points that are essential keys to success. As you said, balancing your time, setting goals, and just having a general outlook can make all the difference. I would have to say I definitely slacked off and underestimated the workload this semester but I completely overlooked the idea of having a general positive outlook and attitude going in to things. Having that mindset can really be a game changer.
